A Baghead Nation Update: Kicking Ass And Taking Names
Belter Skelter says: “You’re not really having fun unless it’s Fungonewrong.”
And he’s not just blowing smoke! Ask anyone who rocked out at one of the ten shows FGW played during their recent tour and they’ll tell you – these guys bring the fun and they bring it HARD. The Bagheads have spent the past two weeks raging up and down the East Coast, melting faces and blowing minds – and audiences everywhere are clamoring for more! T-shirt sales are on the rise, but even better was this remark from one fan who just couldn’t contain his excitement:
“You’re America’s best-kept secret!” THANKS, DUDE!
Luckily enough for those of you craving more (and for those of you who haven’t yet pledged allegiance to the Baghead Nation, you should probably get on that) – the boys are on the move through October and November to bring the heavy metal magic in the Midwest Region. Shows have been booked in Illinois and Wisconsin, including a show at The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, where FGW will be playing alongside legends Lamb of God, Testament, and Killswitch Engage. See the TOUR DATES page for more info and to check out the other shows coming up this fall.
In addition to their killer live shows, FGW is also focused on… wait for it… THEIR DEBUT ALBUM. YES! FGW has been in the studio working hard to bring you their first official album: Twelve tracks of pure awesome layed down by the best and mixed and mastered by Legend Group Records‘ own Houston Curtis. Recording is almost complete and the album should be available for purchase by early November, but keep your fingers crossed for a Halloween release date – because nothing says “heavy metal” like the year’s spookiest holiday!
Featured on the album is FGW’s new bassist, MR. MANNY WRECKTOR! The FGW crew is proud to introduce Manny, a twitchy yet tech savvy Baghead with the power to shake the ground with his epic bass playing. Stoked to have you on board, Mr. Wrecktor!
Also, in case you missed it: We are amped to announce that FGW is currently TOPPING THE METAL CHARTS on ReverbNation! GIT IT, BOYEEZ! But this site isn’t the only place pumping our favorite heavy metal tunes. DJ Foxicus Metallicus (Fox James) of the UK’s TBFM online radio station has been showing some serious love for FUNGONEWRONG. Her show, Fox’s Den, plays a weekly dose of FGW every Sunday night. Thanks, foxy lady!
And now, a word from the Bagheads themselves: “Our passion is metal music… All five of us could play any style music, but we chose metal because it has that feel and connection with the audience that you don’t get with any other style. We always want to thank the fans, because they’re the ones who made this happen!” – Belter Skelter and Ballz Deep.
Hear that, fans? WE LOVE YOU! THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME!
Did you attend one of FGW’s recent shows? Are you a TBFM listener? WANT MORE FUNGONEWRONG?? Let us know! Share your FGW experience and spread the word: If fun is wrong, we don’t want to be right!
